The Path to True Blessing

In Psalm 1, David defines a blessed man as one who prospers in whatever he does. The Spirit reveals that true blessing comes when one engages in activities that bear fruit and lead to godly edification. It’s important to note that a blessed person finds fulfillment, not necessarily in possessions. For instance, Solomon had great wealth, but David, his father, was considered blessed. True fulfillment comes from the journey of becoming.

David compares a blessed person to a tree planted by a river, whose leaves never wither, signifying vitality and continuous life, and who bears fruit in season, indicating timely manifestation.

Do not be deceived by temporary wealth as the measure of blessing, for it does not come from God.

Those who base their lives on such temporary gains are like chaff scattered by the wind. Instead, focus on the process and trust in God’s plan for your life.

May everything you touch this week prosper. Stay blessed. Shalom.
